SAFE ACT Requirements

SAFE MLO Test - All licensees must pass the National and State Components of the SAFE MLO Test by 7/1/2010. It is recommended that applicants pass the National and State Components of the SAFE MLO Test by 3/1/2010 in order to ensure adequate time for processing of the application - BUY NATIONAL EXAM TEST PREP HERE
Criminal Background Check - All licensees must submit fingerprints through NMLS for a criminal background check by 3/1/2010.

Credit Report

- All licensees must authorize pulling of a credit report by 3/1/2010

	Notes:	All new applicants must complete 20 hours of NMLS approved prelicensure education prior to 7/1/2010. It is recommended that individuals complete the pre-licensure education prior to 3/1/2010 in order to ensure adequate time for processing of the MLO application.

SAFE Act Continuing Education	8	SAFE CORE 7 Hours	Yearly by 12/31
	Notes:	All licensees must take 8 hours of NMLS approved continuing education in 2011 in order to renew for 2012.
