Each state has its own requirements for continuing education certification.
-
In addition, many states have special requirements for licensing purposes.
-
In order to be able to offer these courses to you, we have to follow the
stringent guidelines set forth by the states.
-
Anyone taking a course with time requirements must abide by the following
procedures.

| Your System Clock Must Be Accurate
|
-
In some states we are required to keep accurate records of time spent in a
course and when the final exam is taken.
-
It is important that your system clock is set correctly; otherwise you may not
be able to access a quiz or final exam even though you have met all of the
requirements.
-
You may not be able to login to the courses from the “Student login” page.

|
| You May Only Have One Instance of a Course or
Lesson Open at a Time. |
-
When studying or taking tests for a continuing education course, or any course
or lesson with a time requirement, you must not open the course or lesson in
another window or another computer. If you do:
-
You will lose all accumulated time in the course and/or lesson.
-
Your test results will not be sent to the database, and the test will not be
graded.
|
| You Must Not Hit the Back Button on Your Browser While You are
in a Lesson
|
-
Hitting the back button while in a lesson will reset the timer and you will
lose credit for the time spent in the lesson.
-
When you are ready to leave a lesson page click on the red button to submit
your time ( see image below). When your time has been submitted, you will be
returned to your course gateway page.
|
How We Keep Track of the Time You Spend in a
Lesson.
|

-
This is how we are able to certify that you have actually spent
the required time in the lesson.
-
You will not be permitted access to the final exam for a course
until you have met the study time requirements.
|
| The Amount of Time You Spend in Your Lessons Must
be Submitted to Our Database
|
-
You must submit the time spent in a lesson at least every 90 minutes (real
time, not the time on the timer). This is because an interruption in your
internet connection may cause problems with tracking the time you spend in a
lesson. Disruptions in service are a common occurrence with dial-up and
wireless connections.
-
The red button to the right will be located in the lower-left corner of your
screen. When you click the red button your time will be submitted to the
database and you will be taken to the course gateway page. You may re-enter the
lesson page and continue studying at any time.
