Q #1 What is your refund policy?
A Requests for refunds, less a 15% processing fee, will be honored if requested within seven calendar days of purchase date. Additionally, for classroom courses, refund requests must be received no later than seven days prior to the course start date. No refunds will be issued for completed courses
Q #2 How long do I have to complete the course?
A MortgageEducation.com has set company guidelines to allow flexibility. SAFE education hours do not expire but you will have a limited time once the course starts. Other education is set for 30 to 180 consecutive days, Depending on which course you enrolled in. If more time is needed, you may choose to extend your study time once your course has expired.
Q #3 What do I receive when I complete the course?
A We issue a Certificate of Completion after all course work has been completed. In addition, all of the knowledge about the mortgage business will last a lifetime.
Q #4 Does this course offer any written material?
A Yes. Inside the course, you are permitted to print over 150 different supplemental documents that will be used during the course. Each document is covered during course sessions. No additional books are required.
Q #5 Do I have to attend a classroom during this course?
A No. This course is done 100% online, allowing you to complete all coursework from the privacy of your own home or office.

Q #9 Please explain how the timer works.
A Our timer system is extremely easy to use. It is only active for students who are taking SAFE pre-license webinars or older, online state-approved education. The timer operates on a ten-minute (15 minutes for SAFE Act PE Webinars) interva. Every ten minutes, a pop-up will appear that you must click on to continue your time.
Q #11 How do I know what continuing education courses are available for me?
A Go to the home page.
You can get there by clicking on the word "HOME" at the top left hand side of the page.
Click on the First Topic, titled "Course Catalog".
Doing this will bring you to a page called " Continuing education and Certification Packages".
Click on the Title in the box, labeled “Continuing Education”.
This will bring you to a page titled "Continuing Education Packages".
On the top of the page you should see two drop down boxes.
The first is labeled “Your State” and the other is labeled “Type Of License”.
By clicking on the down arrow, you will need to choose the state that you want to get continuing education credits for.
Clicking the second will allow you to choose your license type.
Once you have the correct state and license chosen:
Click on the square button titled “show me”.
Now you will see on the right side of the page a box with a blue boarder labeled “Available Courses”.
This box will show you course titles and prices.
To view course descriptions and how many Continuing Education credits the course gives, put your curser over the course title and click on it.
This gives you all of the information about the course so that you can determine if it is the class you want to take.
Q #12 How do I view my courses?
A Once you have logged in:
Look to the right of your screen.
Scroll down and you will see your courses.
Click on the title of the first section and
it will take you to your course.
You will be taken to the first page, which describes the course,
how many lessons are in the course and
how many questions are on the quiz.
You will need to put your curser on the lesson title and click your mouse.
You will be directed to the actual lesson page.
Q #13 How do I view the video?
A The video and audio will start playing automatically after a few seconds for those with a high speed internet connection.
The video may take longer to load if you are using a dial-up connection to the internet.
Q #14 How do I use video options?
A These options will allow you to manipulate the video to your needs, by simply click on the option desired.
“Stop,” “Start,” “Pause,” and “Fast Forward” are the options available.
Simply put your curser on the bottom of the video, choose a particular option and click to control the video.
Q #15 How do I purchase my courses?
A You will need to click on the “Buy” button next to the course title.
You will be navigated to a new page entitled “Your Shopping Cart.”
On this page you have two options:
“Continue Shopping” will allow you to add more courses to your shopping cart and check out.
Once you are ready to check out:
Pay close attention to what you are about to buy.
This page will give you the course title, your total price, and how many continuing education credits the course offers.
If you choose a course that you decide you don’t want, click on the little trash can icon under the delete column.
Make sure to do this only by the course/courses that you don’t want.
When you are finished making sure you have the correct courses,
click on the button entitled “Check Out.”
This can be found below your selected courses.
This will take you to a page asking you some questions.
If you are a new student, please
click on the “New Student” option.
Now click on “continue.”
If you are a new student, you do not have to fill out your e-mail address and password on this particular page.
Once you click on continue,
you will be directed to a page asking you for your information.
This is entirely confidential and strictly for our records.

Please follow the instructions and when you are finished, click the submit button.
If you are a returning student:
Enter your email and password into the log-in screen.
It will take you to your current account.
Next you are directed to the registration page.
Please read the terms and conditions thoroughly.
Click on “pay with my credit card”.
Verisign will process your credit card number and the expiration date. All credit card information needs to be entered without any spaces.
Click on “complete your order” to finish purchasing the class.
Q #16 Once I have purchased my courses, how do I log in to begin my studies?
A Once you have purchased your course and are ready to log in, go to the home page of www.mortgageeducation.com.
Click on the tab at the top labeled "My Courses."
It will take you to a page asking you for your e-mail address and password.
Remember that these are case sensitive.
Please be sure to type them in the same way you did when you registered.
Q #17 How do I print and save my supplemental documents?
A Supplemental documents are documents that that each student will need to follow along with the instructor in a course. A link to download the documents will be located directly beneath the video inside of each lesson. You will need to print all documents for each lesson. Document files are compressed with either Winzip (PC users) or Stuffit (Mac users) and should be downloaded and saved to your hard drive. Choose the correct type of file to download, save the document, and then print.
Q #18 How do I print my documents individually?
A If you scroll the page just a little, you will see the same documents listed individually. The documents are numbered. Click on the title (this is the link) of the document. Provided that you have installed the Adobe Reader (see Required Software on your welcome page), the program will open and allow you to view the document. Clink print inside of the Adobe Acrobat Reader's browser. You will need to do this for each document that is listed in the box marked “Course/Supplement Documents.” Always begin with the first course, working your way down to ensure that you will have a complete set of documents.
Q #19 When will I have to take my quizzes and how high will I have to score to pass?
A Immediately following each section that you finish, you will notice that the last link on your lesson page is entitled, “quiz.” Choose this option to take your quiz. You must score a 75% or above to pass the quiz. You are required to pass the quiz in order to take the final. If you do not score a high enough grade, you will need to retake the test. You may retake the quiz as many times as you need to pass. If you do score high enough, you still have the option to retake the test Once you have passed all course quizzes, you must pass the final exam to receive your Certificate of Completion.
Q #20 Where can I find my final exam?
A Once you have logged in to my.mortgage-education.com, you are located at your “welcome page.” On the welcome page is where you locate the list of courses that are available for you to take. The link to the final exam is located at the very bottom of this list of available courses. Please note: If you are taking your courses for Continuing Education, College Credit, or State Certification, you must spend the required amount of time in each course. The link to the final exam will not appear until after the appropriate amount of time has been acquired. Make sure that you are well prepared for your final: you can take notes throughout your classes and refer to them, much like taking an open book test!
Q #21 Can my courses expire?
A Yes. All courses have an expiration date and must be completed before expiring, including all tests and quizzes. The expiration information is listed irectly beneath the title of each course on your welcome page. If your courses do expire, you will have the opportunity to extend them for a fee of $30. You will find the information on how to extend courses on your welcome screen once they have expired. All courses do not have the same duration allowed: some of our courses are seven day classes while others are thirty day classes. Your extension period will be determined by which class you signed up for.
Q #24 If I am not taking my courses for continuing education, how do I get my certificate?
A If you are not taking these courses for Continuing Education Credit or State Certifications of any Kind, your Certificates will be available to you to Print from your Final exam box located on your "Welcome Page" instantly upon completion of the Final exam.
Q #27 Will I have to take tests?
A Yes. You will have to complete both quizzes and a final exam to receive a Certificate of Completion or Continuing Education Certificate of Completion. The number of these tests is determined by the amount of courses that you are taking.
