Q #1  What is your refund policy?

A A request for refund, less a 15% processing fee, will be honored if requested within seven calendar days of purchase date. Additionally, for classroom courses, refund requests must be received no later than seven days prior to the course start date. No refunds will be issued for completed courses


Q #2  How long do I have to complete the course?

A MortgageEducation.com has set company guidelines to allow flexibility. NMLS Approved Pre-license education courses you purchase do not begin with an expiration date until you actually begin your course. Continuing Education courses expire within 90 days. Other education is set for 30 to 180 consecutive days, Depending on which course you enrolled in. If more time is needed, you may choose to extend your study time once your course has expired.


Q #3  What do I receive when I complete the course?

A We issue a Certificate of Completion after all course work has been completed. In addition, all of the knowledge about the mortgage business will last a lifetime.


Q #4  Does this course offer any written material?

A Yes. Inside the course, you are permitted to print over 150 different supplemental documents that will be used during the course. Each document is covered during course sessions. No additional books are required.


Q #7  What makes MortgageEducation.com different from other mortgage courses offered?

A MortgageEducation.com is one of the only online, distance-learning companies. It allows you, the student, the luxury of studying and gaining knowledge at your own pace. It is also great for the realtor, appraiser, or the person who is just wanting to gain knowledge of the mortgage business before you purchase your first home.


Q #8  If I don't understand something, are you available to answer my question(s)?

Q #9  Please explain how the timer works.

A Some courses require a timer due to governmental regulations. Our timer system is extremely easy to use. The timer pops-up periodically and you must click on to continue your time. The time-frame is determined by governmental regulations.


Q #11  When are my courses available?

A Scheduled webinars are only available at the specific times they are offered. For online instructor led or self-study courses are available at all times except during system maintenance. We have a maintenance schedule of Tuesday and Thursday between 3:30 and 5:30 Eastern time; however, there may be sporadic maintenance if needed on different days, generally confined to the same times. We try to limit our system downtime as much as possible.


Q #12  How do I view my courses?

A Once you have logged in: Look to the right of your screen. Scroll down and you will see your courses. Click on the title of the first section and it will take you to your course. You will be taken to the first page, which describes the course, how many lessons are in the course and how many questions are on the quiz. You will need to put your curser on the lesson title and click your mouse. You will be directed to the actual lesson page.


Q #16  Once I have purchased my courses, how do I log in to begin my studies?

A Once you have purchased your course and are ready to log in, go to the home page of www.mortgageeducation.com. Click on the tab at the top labeled "My Courses." It will take you to a page asking you for your e-mail address and password. Remember that these are case sensitive. Please be sure to type them in the same way you did when you registered.


Q #17  How do I print and save my supplemental documents?

A Supplemental documents are documents that that each student will need to follow along with the instructor in a course. A link to download the documents will be located directly beneath the video inside of each lesson. You will need to print all documents for each lesson. Document files are compressed with either Winzip (PC users) or Stuffit (Mac users) and should be downloaded and saved to your hard drive. Choose the correct type of file to download, save the document, and then print.


Q #18  How do I print my documents individually?

A If you scroll the page just a little, you will see the same documents listed individually. The documents are numbered. Click on the title (this is the link) of the document. Provided that you have installed the Adobe Reader (see Required Software on your welcome page), the program will open and allow you to view the document. Clink print inside of the Adobe Acrobat Reader's browser. You will need to do this for each document that is listed in the box marked “Course/Supplement Documents.” Always begin with the first course, working your way down to ensure that you will have a complete set of documents.


Q #20  Where can I find my final exam?

A Once you have logged in to my.mortgage-education.com, you are located at your “My Courses” page. The My Courses page is where you locate the list of courses that are available for you to take. The link to the final exam is located at the right side of this list of available courses. Please note: If you are taking a timed course, you must spend the required amount of time in each course. The link to the final exam will not appear until after the appropriate amount of time has been acquired.


Q #24  If I am not taking my courses for continuing education, how do I get my certificate?

A If you are not taking these courses for Continuing Education Credit or State Certifications of any Kind, your Certificates will be available to you to Print from your Final exam box located on your "Welcome Page" instantly upon completion of the Final exam.


Q #27  Will I have to take tests?

A Yes. You will have to complete both quizzes and a final exam to receive a Certificate of Completion or Continuing Education Certificate of Completion. The number of these tests is determined by the amount of courses that you are taking.
