License Renewal Date: January 31 of each year

Covered Licensees:
A. Subordinate Lien Mortgage Lenders and other lenders are covered under the Indiana Consumer Credit Code and supervised by the Department of Financial Institutions.
B. Brokers are supervised by the Securities Division of the Secretary of State.

Domicile Requirements:
Licensed Lenders and Loan Brokers are not required to maintain an office in the State of Indiana.

Financial Regulations:
A. Licensed Lenders must:
1. Maintain a net worth of at least $100,000.00.
2. Maintain liquid assets of at least $50,000.00.
3. Be subject to review by a Certified Public Account.
B. Licensed Loan Brokers must post a bond of at least $50,000.00.

Licensing Requirements:
A. New Licensees or Registrants must have competed at least 24 hours (approved courses) within the last 24 months.
B. Renewal Licensees or Registrants must complete at least 12 hours of approved academic instruction within the last 24 months.
C. A Licensed Lender (or Manager of a Licensed Lender) should have a minimum of 2 years finance industry related experience.
