Chapter 443 RSMo assigns to the Division the responsibility of enforcing the laws which regulate residential mortgage brokers. Supervision includes licensing and examination powers.

MISSOURI MORTGAGE BROKER LICENSING REQUIREMENTS / Application must be filed with the Director.(Mo. Rev. Stat. §443.827) The application shall be in writing, made under oath, and on a form provided by the Director. Application shall contain the name and complete business and residential addresses of applicant. (Mo. Rev. Stat. §443.825) Application for a license shall be accompanied by the following averment stating that the applicant:Will maintain at least one full-service office within Missouri. Will maintain staff reasonably adequate to meet the requirements of Section 443.857./ surety bond in the amount of $20,000 / maintain a net worth of not less than $25,000/ Each residential mortgage licensee shall maintain, in the state of Missouri, at least one full-service office with staff reasonably adequate to efficiently handle communication, questions and all other matters relating to any existing home mortgage.(Mo. Rev. Stat. §443.857)
